Real Madrid suffered yet another away loss at the San Sabestian stadium as hosts Real Sociedad scored two past the Spanish champions on Tuesday.
Real Madrid have lost six away games this season, which is the most since the 2018/19 season when they recorded 12 away losses.
Currently struggling with defensive issues, they have conceded eight goals in the last three games. They have also conceded a total of 32 goals in 33 La Liga games, which is the most since the 2018/19 season where they conceded 46 goals in 38 games.
Addressing a press conference after the match, the manager Carlo Ancelotti specifically talked about the Brazilian defender Eder Militao whose mistake gifted the hosts their first goal while stating that "he has to wake up, soon".
He also talked about a lack of focus among players.
"It's obvious the players are thinking about the Copa del Rey final and the game vs City. They're not focused," he added.
Talking about the Croatian midfielder Luka Modric, Ancelotti said that he might play the final on Saturday.
"He trained good today, there are great chances he will play the final on Saturday," he said.
Speaking about the Copa del Rey final and the semi-final against the English Champions Manchester City, he said that fans will see a different team on the field.
"You will see a different team. A very important moment is coming for us. We have to improve to solve the errors. We want to win the Copa del Rey and then focus on Champions League," he added.
As for the missing players, he confirmed that all the players except left-back Ferland Mendy will be available against Osasuna on Saturday, where the European Champions will play their 40th Copa final.
Real Madrid will play their 11th UEFA Champions League semi-final in the last 13 years on Tuesday where they will face Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
The two clubs met last season during the UEFA Champions League semi-final where Real Madrid won the tie after a late comeback, something that they are known for. Rodrygo Goes scored two goals within two minutes to take the game into extra-time, where Karim Benzema scored the winner during the fifth minute.
